[00:00:00] Speaker A: Awesome. Well, I appreciate your time. I know we're at the. The. The busy hour of our show this busy day, so there's some folks walking around. So thanks for coming over to the booth over here at the OHCI conference that we're at.
So. So how do you help RV park owners with WI fi? Because that's always the first thing comes up. How's the WI fi?
[00:00:15] Speaker B: How's WI fi? Yeah. So for one, we provide a service that is built around the entire property.
[00:00:21] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:00:21] Speaker B: So we make sure the entire property gets covered in WI fi, but we do it at no upfront cost.
So we don't charge anything up front. Don't charge for maintenance, don't charge for service calls. We put in a daily rate. So it's just in their active reservations. It could be anywhere from like a dollar to $3 a day. That's how we get paid. So if they're a seasonal park, we don't even get paid in the winter. It's only when they're open, only based on reservations. But it saves the RV parks the upfront costs.
[00:00:50] Speaker A: What about monthly parks?
[00:00:51] Speaker B: Is it monthly, too? So basically the daily rate gets multiplied by the length of stay.
[00:00:56] Speaker A: Right.
[00:00:56] Speaker B: So if they're there for 30 days, kind of like $30 a month, which is always cheaper than most competitors. T Mobile, Verizon, Starlink, we try to be under them just so we're always cheaper than the competitor, but still giving that same great service throughout the whole campground.
[00:01:12] Speaker A: Okay, well, that's awesome.
[00:01:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:01:14] Speaker A: So. So how do you. How do you, like, spread out? You say you got a Midsize park at 60 sites. Like, how do you make sure that everybody has access to WI fi?
[00:01:22] Speaker B: So basically what we do is we disperse the bandwidth. So we set access points throughout the RV park.
[00:01:28] Speaker A: Booster boxes on flag poles.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: Yeah, pretty much. They are cemented in, though, because we like it to be structurally sound, especially for certain areas with high winds or on the ocean fronts, things like that.
[00:01:39] Speaker A: I DYI'd my first one and I experienced some issues with that. I learned some lessons.
[00:01:43] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, no.
[00:01:44] Speaker A: And lots concrete them into now.
[00:01:45] Speaker B: Yeah. Lots of park owners do it themselves, but when you have someone do it, it's so much easier, especially when they're concreted in. Because. Because you don't have to deal with any of the structural side of it. It's going to be there for good. Nothing's really going to take it out. But we space them every 120ft apart, give or take, and that's how we make sure the Whole property gets coverage and everyone has a good WI FI connection.
[00:02:07] Speaker A: Yeah. So that's wonderful because that's definitely the first thing that you hear.
So being in the industry, you're having a lot of these conversations with park owners. So what are some things that you're seeing that like hey, I keep seeing this and these guys are successful. You're not doing that. You're not successful because obviously WI Fi. But what are some things that, you know, industry insights, could you share?
[00:02:26] Speaker B: So the biggest thing is not enough access points. A lot of companies are going to charge you high rates, they're going to short you access points and you're not going to be able to cover the whole property.
[00:02:36] Speaker A: Right.
[00:02:37] Speaker B: So the thing that makes us different is we do a lot of access points in an RV park, but if you have cabins, we put an access point in each cabin.
[00:02:45] Speaker A: Right.
[00:02:45] Speaker B: A lot of these companies don't do it because they don't want to charge you for it. They're going to cheap out. They're going to say, here's a system and just short you access points. I put in a lot. It's overkill. But I want everyone to be able to stream game do work conferences. I ensure everyone has that. But in order to do so it's all about how many APS you have in your campfire.
[00:03:07] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. That's really, really, really important these days.
[00:03:10] Speaker B: It is.
[00:03:11] Speaker A: It's crazy when people don't even like they half assed it. I don't really like take this seriously these days.
[00:03:17] Speaker B: The other thing is like customer support. So I do have a call center. So all the guests in the park, they actually call us.
They could also text us too. But it's 24 7. You talk with a real person. No one, 800 lines. You talk to real people.
[00:03:32] Speaker A: Well, that's pretty important because what I've seen a lot is that like somebody has like a weirder older TV or something and then their phones are connecting to WI fi but it's like a one off gadget. So then being able to have somebody that can call and be like, hey, did you just reset this thing? You know?
[00:03:46] Speaker B: Seriously.
[00:03:46] Speaker A: Cuz they're mad at me as the owner, I'm like, I don't know.
[00:03:48] Speaker B: Everybody else is good. Yeah. The thing is too like when park owners are either troubleshooting for their own WI FI companies that are supposed to do that for them, it's like, are you guys the RV park owners or the WI fi business owners? So the thing we do differently too is we're the WI FI company, we handle the whole WI FI side of the business.
[00:04:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:04:08] Speaker B: You guys have an RV park to run, so let us handle that side of the business. So you could run your side of the business.
[00:04:14] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: So we take that load off of the RV park owners.
[00:04:18] Speaker A: Yeah. And for. For us, it's all about the customer experience. So just being able to like, hey, I can't log into this 1F and TV, I'm like, well, call these guys. They got you. Yeah. You know, they'll get you fixed up and like, don't worry.
[00:04:28] Speaker B: Yep. They call us, they text us. You just tell them to call us if they have questions, if they have issues, they go right through us. You don't have to handle that. The only thing you handle is giving them the password and our phone number.
[00:04:40] Speaker A: Yeah.
So what is it when it's like a one off device? Because I get this a lot.
[00:04:44] Speaker B: One off device?
[00:04:45] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Like say somebody's staying for the night and like, WI fi is good, but they just can't connect to that one tv. Is it something that just needs to be reset in their settings or something off.
[00:04:53] Speaker B: Yeah. So that. That's where we do a lot of troubleshooting because of course we deal with that sometimes and it's like, usually it's just like a reboot of the tv. Just like any WI fi device.
[00:05:03] Speaker A: Yeah, that's usually the answer. Did you turn your phone on or off? Did it have gas in it?
[00:05:07] Speaker B: You know, and you'd be surprised at how many times that just resolves the issue.
[00:05:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:05:11] Speaker B: One of the funniest times is when I was like, hey, just so you know, you sent me a screenshot that WI fi wasn't working.
You're not connected to WI fi. There was no WI fi bars. And I was like, just click the network log on. Yeah, they were good to go.
[00:05:26] Speaker A: Right.
[00:05:26] Speaker B: You'd be surprised how like, little these issues are.
[00:05:29] Speaker A: But yeah.
Yeah, that's the fun part of this industry.
So.
[00:05:33] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:33] Speaker A: Awesome, man.
[00:05:34] Speaker B: Still, fun stuff. Yeah.
[00:05:36] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It's good for solving problems. And. And I don't know, like I said, it's just a absolute, you know, having. Having WI fi. That's the. The topic.
[00:05:44] Speaker B: You. Yeah. And you need WI fi and RV parts because if you don't offer it, like, especially after Covid, and you probably have seen this, a lot of people wants the RV parts. They need WI fi because they work from their campers. They need work conferences to be able.
[00:05:58] Speaker A: They don't want to spend 120 bucks get their own Starlink.
[00:06:01] Speaker B: Yeah. And Starlink, don't get me wrong, great product. I like Starlink. But as far as the cost structure, the monthly cost is so expensive.
[00:06:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:06:09] Speaker B: And most of the time, they're using the Rome version, which is $165 a month.
[00:06:15] Speaker A: Right.
[00:06:15] Speaker B: It's so expensive.
[00:06:16] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:06:17] Speaker B: And then certain other companies, T Mobile, Verizon, they usually don't work as much in campgrounds, which kind of makes sense.
Usually.
[00:06:25] Speaker A: So out in the county.
[00:06:26] Speaker B: Yeah. I bring it in and I disperse it so you can have that coverage. That's the difference with us and even the structure that we do it. Obviously, the RV park owner doesn't pay anything up front. The guest pays it in the rent. But even if you're at a dollar a day, it's 30 bucks a month if you do the math. And it's still way cheaper than any other competitor out there.
[00:06:46] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure.
So that's awesome, man. Well, I appreciate your time. Probably wrap it up here. We got maybe get back to your booth and try to find some new park owners to talk to. Absolutely.
[00:06:56] Speaker B: It's been pretty popular today, so.
[00:06:58] Speaker A: Yeah, it's been good. It's been good. A lot of people to talk to, and I just like talking to the park owners and just like, what are you guys doing? You know, how's it going for you? Where are you at? What are some things that you're seeing? Absolutely. That's cool. Well, I appreciate your time, and thanks for coming over here to talk to us.
[00:07:10] Speaker B: Thank you so much. Appreciate it.
[00:07:12] Speaker A: Awesome.
